The grounds are quintessential Old Florida, with canopy oaks providing shade on the grounds of a 160-year-old Manor House that is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The 115-acre property has hiking trails for exploring some of the most impressive natural habitats in Central Florida — bird-watchers alert! — and a nearby conservation center and wildlife management area offer additional trails and out door recreation.

If off-site recreation figures into your group’s plans, there are many entertainment options within a short distance of Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center. Championship golf courses await on The Brooksville Ridge. Antique shopping and delicious dining are minutes away in historic Brooksville, Spring Hill, Floral City, and Inverness. The world-famous Weeki Wachee mermaids perform daily in the underwater theater at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, and endangered manatees (often mistaken for mermaids!) are waiting to greet visitors at Homosassa Springs State Park. Some of the best equestrian trails in Florida can be accessed in the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest Forest, and a half-day canoe trip down the Withlachoochee River will get your group back to Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center in time for a cool drink and a sunset dinner.
