Creative juices will flow as soon as you pull onto the grounds of this unique landmark tucked away on one of the highest hills in Florida. In the shadow of a 160-year-old Manor House that was recently renovated, artists and photographers will be in awe of the panoramic vistas and gorgeous sunsets.
The towering canopy oaks, sloping terrain, and unobstructed views at Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center are a stimulating environment for painters of all mediums, particularly plein air artists.
The natural light and brilliant colors of the flora invite photographers to experiment with techniques. And nearby hiking trails offer nature photographers remarkably up-close encounters with native wildlife and birds.
Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center easily accommodates groups of all sizes. Artists and photographers have plenty of room for their supplies in seven reasonably-priced cottages that can sleep up to 56 people. Guests enjoy private beds and baths, but share dining and living areas and a well-equipped kitchen. In addition, there is a dining hall that seats up to 65, where meals can be prepared and served by an approved caterer. And, in case Mother Nature is not cooperating, groups can retreat into the 75-person conference room.
Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center is blank canvas waiting for artists to interpret and share their own visions of scenic Old Florida’s natural beauty. Bring your brushes and your lenses for a genuine, uplifting experience on Florida’s Adventure Coast in Hernando County.
